David Suzuki

David Suzuki is specialized in meiosis, the early division of living cells where differentiation begins, for example between reproductive and other cells, and the study of mutations caused by changes in temperature. Eventually, his career evolved from geneticist to broadcaster to environmental activist. His foundation is working to find and communicate practical ways in which we can live within our planet's productive capacity.
In 1962 he graduated in the field of genetics, and was appointed assistant professor in the Department of Genetics at the University of Alberta. The following year he came to UBC, and in 1969 was appointed Professor of Zoology. He is also a senior associate on the staff at UBC's Sustainable Development Research Institute.

David Suzuki is the CO-Founder of the David Suzuki Foundation. He is also an award-winning scientist, also a broadcaster and environmentalist. He explain the compleities of the natural sciences in easily understood way by his radio and television programs. Dr. Suzuki is a geneticist.
